Access auditing and the Equality Act

Two day course


This course is aimed at anyone interested in taking their access knowledge to a higher level and gain an understanding of the practicalities of access improvements in light of the Equality Act 2010.  This course is ideal for anyone considering NRAC accreditation, or looking to develop access auditing skills alongside a practical understanding of implementing access into building management practices.

This popular long running two day programme covers the following areas:

  • Access awareness
  • The Equality Act 2010, other legislation and design standards
  • Principles of inclusive design, design guidance and access strategies are brought to life by our experienced trainers.
  • Appraisal and auditing methodologies are explored, formats for reports and making priorities and recommendations.

Access audit handbook

Participants have the opportunity to experience undertaking access design appraisals and access audits in supervised exercises.

Course dates

Participants are asked to arrive at Holyer House at 9:20 am for a 9:30 start, and the course will conclude by 5:00 pm on both days.

Payment must be received 14 days before the start of the course.  You can pay for the course via our online shop or you can be invoiced and pay by BACS.  Please ensure you include a reference on all payments made for training courses. Your reference should start with CAE followed by your surname, e.g. ‘CAEsmith’.
