News

An article by Jean Hewitt, Director of Centre for Accessible Environments has been featured in Building Control News. Jean explores whether the needs of over 12m people with hearing loss in the UK are forgotten about in the design of new buildings and external spaces.

Jean explains ”There are many everyday challenges that are faced by deaf and hard of hearing people, but it is rare that built environment professionals, including planning, building control and designers, give any more than a few seconds’ thought to what they can do to help.”
