These online training and information  sessions aim to provides advice and considerations on making your premises more accessible and your services more inclusive for everyone, including disabled people.

About Managing Access and Inclusion

Please note this course is for charities and not for profit community groups only. The content is delivered by the Access Advisor from the Access and Sustainability Advisory Service (ASAS) which is based at the Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE). This 2 hour training session is for people who influence the management of third sector organisation buildings and/or services based in London. Eligible participants (please see below) are welcome from a wide range of service types from theatres to places of worship, museums, community centres, heritage buildings and sports facilities. There will be an opportunity to network and share ideas on improving access and the visitor experience across charity organisations. The course will cover the following topics:

  • The Equality Act
  • User needs
  • Making adaptations to existing buildings to improve access
  • Funding opportunities for London based charities

Following this session there will be an opportunity for delegates from registered charities to discuss their intent or current application for the City Bridge Foundation grant applications. Please email asas@cae.org.uk if you are interested in confirming some time after the session to do this. 

Who is eligible to apply

People who are involved in the management of community or charity buildings and/or services based in London. Participants do not have to be City Bridge Foundation grant recipients or applicants.
