Centre of Accessible Environments' Pathways Academy inclusive environments and access training

Join Pathways Academy taster session on access & inclusion training

News

If you’re an 18-30 year old disabled Londoner looking for a career change, the Centre of Accessible Environments (CAE) Pathways Academy will give you the knowledge, skills and confidence needed for a career in inclusive environments and access.

You’ll receive  training on topics such as the principles of inclusive design, access auditing, website accessibility, designing for neurodiversity and more, delivered over 12 months.

You’ll also get hands-on experience by shadowing an access professional.

Come along to a virtual taster session on 29 June or 27 July. You’ll get a chance to find out more about the programme, meet the project team and hear from people already working in the inclusion and access field.

To find out more about one student’s experience of the Pathways Academy, read Agne’s story.

What do Pathways Academy students say about the course?

“This training allows me to pursue a career path as a disability awareness trainer or access officer. It also helps me to think critically about my own assumptions with regards to accessibility.” Pathways trainee

‘’’Pathways is like a masterclass in inclusivity, in its content and in its practices.” Pathways trainee

“Anywhere I go now- I notice access issues, I always think of improvement of the environment to be more accessible for all” Pathways trainee.

Learn more about the programme, which starts in October 2021, and book your place on a virtual taster session by visiting cae.org.uk/pathways.
