As part of a series of events across the UK (and a number of countries around the world), CAE invites you to celebrate Changing Places Awareness Day in London on Tuesday 19 July.
Learn more about what Changing Places are, what makes them so important to people and their social lives, and understand how to optimise the use of space for the provision of accessible toilets. Aveso, the official sponsor of Changing Places, will provide a technical presentation and invite registered attendees to take a tour of Barbican Cinema’s Changing Places facility!
Guests are asked to arrive at Barbican Cinema at 10:30am for refreshments before the 11am start, where Mike (Mencap/Changing Places Consortium) and Raymond (British Toilet Association) will take off on their ‘URGENT RUN.’ Funded by Department for Communities and Local Government, Mike and Raymond will be running to three Central London landmarks in promotion of the new national Changing Places map and register.
Those traveling from outside of London can make a day of it and check out the Barbican Exhibition: Designing for a Living City or sign up for a Barbican Architecture Tour. Museum of London is also around the corner.

Thanks to hundreds of individual and organisational campaigners, there are now over 840 Changing Places facilities across the UK, from large venues such as 02 Arena and Emirates Stadium to local community and recreation centres. We look forward to celebrating these accomplishments, as well as the thousands of lives that have been positively transformed by Changing Places over the past decade.
